Tooth Time: Natural Toothpaste

Quite some time ago I started using natural toothpaste to brush my pearly whites. I made the switch because I didn't like some of the ingredients in conventional pastes. I've even read that one of the ingredients in "normal" toothpaste could negatively impact a medical condition I am managing. I've been using more natural toothpaste for a year or so, and was thrilled to have the opportunity to try another- Redmond's Earthpaste. 

Motivation Monday: Wonder

Between the foster puppies and the flu, no one is getting much sleep around here, but should we, isn't this a wonderful though to have upon waking? "Wake up every morning with the thought that something wonderful is about to happen" -author unknown

On a completely unrelated note, did you miss the puppy sleeping head first in the pillows in the photo? It's ok, I saw it in person and I almost did.

Puppy Proofing Made Simple

So you all know how much I love sharing what I've learned through trial and error in short, simple tips. As we're going into our second round of fostering puppies, (remember these guys?) I've gathered what we learned from the first litter (and Dozer) in another "Just Five".

Family Ties

When Anthony and I visited my parents for Christmas, Dozer stayed with them for a few days so my parents watched him while Anthony and I traveled for New Years Eve. When my mother brought him back to my house, she also brought a tin of coffee. Folgers breakfast blend. Anthony's drink of choice. You see, I tend to choose a different coffee every time I make a purchase. (Right now I'm loving Great Lakes Coffee's cork street... it's awesome, and local!). Anthony on the other hand has been drinking Folger's breakfast blend since always. He even brings a little over when he stays at my place to make his own brew.
