Body Cocktails for your Beach Bag

It's summer. I don't care what anyone else says- or that it snowed on Friday. I took my last final monday night, and have been on summer break ever since. Being such, I've decided to start sharing some of the newest additions to my growing (but still minimalist) beach bag.

Bodyceuticals Calendula Skincare was kind enough to let me try one of their awesome moisturizers. Coconut Chi chi is from the Body Cocktail (how amazingly summery is that name?) collection. *My full disclosure can be found here.

Coconut has always been the scent I reach for during the summer months and this spray is absolutely perfect. The scent is long lasting, but never overpowering, and it smells like actual coconut, not some chemical concoction. Speaking of chemicals, this bottle is free from any. The spray is as simple as summer with only a handful of ingredients, all natural oils and aloe. Its all natural, which also means its safe to use on children.

Along with coconut scents, the summer is the time I search for simplicity. This means anything taking space in my beach bag must pretty darn good, or serve more than one purpose. This spray is both. When applied as a moisturizer it leaves my skin glowing and moisturized with the perfect scent. It's lightweight and absorbs quickly enough that I don't have to wait to get dressed for fear of getting oil on my clothes. The bottle produces a fine spray which makes application that much quicker.

Coconut Chi Chi can also be used in your hair. The oils are great for applying after swimming or styling. Whether you're going for a polished night out or beach waves, body cocktails can help (as a bonus, the scent- have I mentioned I'm obsessed with this scent?- stays in your hair) When I wanted beach hair, I applied the oil to wet hair along with a salt spray. Most salt sprays can be pretty drying and coconut chi chi helped leave my hair soft and free from damage. I also applied to dry hair to add shine, focusing on the ends, especially after styling. It helped tame frizz and leave my freshly curled hair looking polished.

*A few seconds after application. I love how it feels moisturizing but doesn't leave me looking oily!

Now, I know I've been raving about the coconut scent, but body cocktails come in a few others including almond marzipan, key lime, pink grapefruit, and vanilla cream. The small size (2 oz) is perfect for tossing in your bag, and has lasted me quite a lot time even with daily body, hair, and sometimes face use.  (As a side note, some people find coconut oil, one of the main ingredients, does not work for them as a facial moisturizer. Many love it, but it's something to keep in mind!) I usually use one spray for each arm/leg and two sprays for my long hair.

The Short Story:
-Aaamazing scent, coconut is perfectly tropical for summer
-Perfect size for beach bags or travel, but
moisture maniacs might want something larger
-Shine and moisture for hair and body
-2 oz spray bottle produces a fine mist
-Can be purchased here for $13.95

Which body cocktail scent will you be tossing in your beach bag this summer?
