Let's talk with Heidi of Tree Tango Photography
I know I promised I would share the photos of my hiking trip with all of you. They're coming, I promise! In the meantime, I had the opportunity to interview Heidi of Tree Tango Photography on Etsy. If you're looking for a beautiful, affordable print to grace the walls of your home or greeting cards to send to someone special, you've got to check her out! Heidi shoots macro (close ups) photographs of natural themes. You'll get to see a few of my favorites, as well as enter a giveaway from her shop!
My Q&A with Heidi:
Your photographs are beautiful, What inspired your work?
I just love nature and color. I love taking the time to notice the little details of things and the way the light affects what we see.
What is your favorite subject to shoot? What makes it so?
I love, love, love flowers! So many variations of color, both soft and bring. And all the details you can see when you get up close, like the curve of a petal or the veins in a leaf.
How about your favorite location and time to shoot?
We have so many great places here to shoot. We have great parks and a wonderful botanic garden that I can spend an entire day in. Sometimes I'll talk a whole Saturday to shoot or sometimes just an hour or so after work. I also like to just wander around in my own yard with the camera and see what I can find.
The subject of your photos is more often than not nature, Have a favorite way to get active outdoors?
I love just walking in nature. In the mountains or a garden or a park. Just being out there and breathing the fresh air and making life slow down a little.
Ideally, How would you like your work to be displayed and enjoyed?
I would like it if someone had one of my photos on their wall and it made them smile every time they saw it. If my work can brighten someone's day, that would make me happy.
What is the best advice you've ever give or received?
I've had two people in my past offer me similar advice. They said to find my passion and run with it. To 'Follow my bliss' To find that one thing that makes me happy, that makes me feel alive inside and make that thing my life. Photography is that thing for me.
Is there anything you would like me to share with my readers?
I've spent a lot of time in my past being unhappy. If I could bring just a moment of happiness to someone else's life by sharing my photos with them, that would be amazing.
