Home Sick

This morning I was awoken by a heart wrenching, piercing cry. My wonderful boyfriend had given our just as wonderful puppy a bone which ensued a panic in him. This panic continued for nearly an hour as he hid is his new toy in various locations around my apartment, deciding each spot was unworthy of his most prized position. Eventually he found a suitable spot- under the pillow my head was still resting on...

So much for a relaxing morning home sick. But really... who wouldn't love that face?

So being forced to stay home in the miserable, contaminated state I am, I've decided this would be a great opportunity to share my sick day "must haves"...

Of Course, tissues are a must... I chose Kleenex antiviral, mostly because they had cute little germs on the box.

Water. Always important to stay hydrated, but even more so when you're trying to heal.

A thermometer
Halls Refresh cough drops (lemonrasberry flavor) - great for a little scratchy throat
Theraful (flue and sore throat, apple cinnamon flavor)- for when it hurts even to talk
eucalyptus oil- put a few drops on a pot of water, boil, and inhale the steam, you'll be able to breathe again! Use the same water, submerge a washcloth, and place on your forehead- great for sinus headaches
Lastly, target brand decongestant (sinus congestion and pain/non-drowsy formula)

Other than the above, my essentials include a wonderful pair of sweatpants, a warm blanket, some choice movies, and a wonderful boyfriend who happens to be making a pot of tea right now...
Teavana's samurai chai mate... my current favorite.

Well that's all for me. I'll get back to relaxing and recovering.

What are your stables for recovery?

Hello...

Hey guys! As an everyday adventure is new little project, I thought I would tell you pretty people a little about myself... maybe give you a little inspiration to come back later and read some more!

I'm about twenty years old, and a student at a university in michigan, and living in an always exciting student house as the only girl in a group of guys (Oh, and the most adorable puppy you'll ever meet... assuming any of you show up at my doorstep, and subsequently are greeted by my dog). I love: Being active (backpacking, kayaking, swimming, yoga, etc.), Michigan, bonfires, pictures and quotes, pretty things, and getting involved in anything new and interesting.

The topics of these posts may be random at times, obnoxious at others, hopefully interesting, and maybe even a little inspiring. I'd like to tell a little about the crazy experiences I've had, and why every should do something crazy once in awhile. I'll write about food, beauty, being active, and the complications that are life. Hopefully you can take something away from these stories, if not... I'll try to include enough pretty pictures to amuse you none the less.
